Intergenerational Community Dinners
We hold regular community dinners for people of all ages to come together over a delicious meal. Inspired by the Generations Over Dinner global movement, we aim to bring people from the 6 living generations together at the one table.
These dinners challenge the common narrative that the generations are divided. We believe that disconnection can be overcome by creating a space where everyone is welcomed, heard and valued equally. These events are an opportunity to come together to share stories, exchange experiences and contribute ideas for a more connected community.

Community of Practice
(For professionals)
Are you a professional or volunteer involved in a Melbourne-based program that brings older and younger generations together?
Or are you thinking of starting a program but aren't sure how to go about it?
If either applies to you, you are warmly invited to join our newly-established Community of Practice for professionals & volunteers who are involved in running intergenerational programs in the community.

About our Community of Practice
The purpose of our group is to connect with others in Melbourne who are involved in intergenerational work. We want to provide a welcoming space for people to network, share experiences, ideas and resources for working intergenerationally. In addition, we will explore challenges, celebrate successes and explore evidence-based approaches to our work.
How to join
Our group is free to join and meetings will be held online on a quarterly basis (with at least one in-person meeting a year). We will have guest-speakers presenting on topics of interest throughout the year.
Our first meeting of 2026 is coming up soon.
Global Intergenerational Week 2026: 24th - 30th April

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the East Kulin nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we are based. We recognise their continuing connection to and care of Country, Sky and Waterways. And we honour the role that First Nations elders have played and continue to play in passing on knowledge, wisdom and cultural practices to younger generations.
This always was and always will be Aboriginal land. We Pay the Rent.
